The Paton-Churdan school, along with the Churdan public library, sponsored the Governor’s Healthiest State Walk.
Participants were asked to meet at the school last Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 9:30 am to walk as a group. More than 200 school and community people came and walked to the library and back.
Clare and Wilma Hunter were the oldest participants at 93 and 92 years old respectively. The youngest participant was 1 year old Mason Fiedler. It was a long ways for those little legs!
At the conclusion of the walk, the library furnished refreshments, purchased with money received from Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children neighborhood/Community Network Mini Grants.
